Mother’s Day Fundraiser
I am lucky to have been blessed with 2 wonderful mothers - my mum and my mother in law.
Unfortunately my mum is in the advanced stages of Early Onset Dementia. Therefore for her Mother’s Day gift this year I auctioned this framed print of “Warm Wallaby Hugs” and donated the proceeds to https://alzheimers.com.au/
The lovely lady who had the winning bid shared this story about her own mum:
“My Mum used to spend a lot of time in the park next door, Kilsyth Sth. One day she told me there was a in the park. It was often hard to work out fact from fiction as time went on. I didn’t believe her but humoured her. Imagine my surprise to see a kangaroo there. This print reminds me of that day.”
I’m so pleased that this print found such a meaningful home and that we were able to raise money for such a worthy cause.
